One of the greatest means of cultivating souls for spiritual planting is giving the kindness of God, which has been implanted in our own hearts, into the lives of others resulting in healing for humans and glory to God.
Finding faith in Jesus Christ is a journey with many stops along the way. It requires that those who have gone before guide those who have yet to trust Christ fully. The life that God intends through this journey is found in community with other Christ followers.

When asked the question “who is my neighbor” Jesus tells this parable which turns the question around and provides some life changing applications. Jesus response to the question is not to answer who is my neighbor, but who among us is proving to be a neighbor.

I remember watching the movie Finding Nemo with my children and how they would get the giggles near the end of the movie when Nemo’s dad and Dorrie are chased by the seagulls squawking “mine, mine, mine” over and over again. It may be silly when a flock of seagulls act this way but there is nothing silly when followers of Jesus Christ act in like manner. When Jesus speaks of loving God with all our strength this is what he is speaking about, having an attitude that recognizes and treats everything as he desires.
